Breath

Breath,

There is great significance in our breath. That essential intake that
supports us also supports every living thing on the planet. Our
inhale nourishes our bodies and cleanses every cell. Our exhale of
carbon dioxide nourishes every plant. There is a rhythm of inhaling
and exhaling, give and take, feed and receive.

In meditation we focus on our breath. Many great spiritual leaders
taught the benefits of quieting the mind and breathing. It is an
important part of the practice of yoga. I have herd that Jesus had a
special way of breathing.

Deliberate deep breathing can help us focus our attention. Try
breathing in your desires. Take your breath in and feel peace, or
feel whatever it is that you intend. Expand your breathing all the
way down to the bottom of your stomach. As you inhale let your
stomach expand. Then release your breath out. Visualize it reaching
out to the world your intentions traveling with it. If it is peace
that you are intending see it traveling on your breath and touching
the world. As you breathe in, breathe in your intentions and feel
them fill your body with the power of your intentions. Whatever your
intention is feel it fill you to the brim and then release it with
your exhale. With the exhale you share it with the world and with the
inhale the world brings it back to you.

Try practicing this for every of your intentions. Let me know what
you feel.

With Love,
Maryellen V. Little
